                         SPOILER WARNING The video game industry is no stranger to controversy. Going all the way back to Mortal Kombat in the 90s, with the now laughable pixelated blood and dismemberments, the "horrors" of what parents feared Grand Theft Auto exposed their innocent children to, and more recently with loot boxes and broken/unfinished games at launch. Lately though, the controversy surrounding some newer titles has become more nuanced, making ripping people's heads off in an arcade game almost quaint by comparison. With nearly a ten year gap between installments in the book series, and a tv show finale that ranges from a disappointment to an unmitigated disaster (depending on who you ask) it's safe to say that A Song of Ice and Fire has seen better days. And with George RR Martin giving mixed signals to his fans on Twitter and on his blog, it's hard to tell where the future of this series rests. Although he stated in a recent tweet that he has made "steady progress" on the Winds of Winter , the next to last installment in the franchise, it's difficult to gauge how much progress has actually been made. Especially when Martin has made discouraging comments that he doesn't mind if the book series "remains unfinished". This is all the more frustrating when you take in the fact that in 2013 he disclosed in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald that he doesn't want anyone continuing the books if he should pass before he finishes.                                               Throughout the decade, we've seen some tremendous highs and breathtaking lows in the world of movies. Thanks to The   Avengers , we've seen superheroes dominate the box office, with their only competition being the return of Star Wars to the big screen. Amazing action movies like the Mission Impossible and John Wick franchises wowed us with thrilling fight scenes and face melting explosions. Even sci fi movies blew us away with Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival offering emotionally rich and intelligent stories. We've even seen Horror make a huge comeback, with monster hits like It and Get Out breaking records and even creepier entries such as The VVitch and Hereditary pushing the genre forward.                   Photo Credit: The Wrap Well guys, it's been 2 years since the last time we visited the town of Derry, Maine and had to fight a sewer clown, but we're back! Was it worth the wait? I've been a big Stephen King fan since I started college but since I'm equal parts lazy and a coward, I kept putting IT the novel off. Fortunately, I read the book a few years ago and even though I thought that it's way too long and the ending goes off the rails, I really enjoyed the 100 lb. novel and was ecstatic when they announced the new movies being based off of it. I loved IT: Chapter One when it came out two years ago and was thrilled when it turned out to be a huge success, but the question in the back of my mind was, "How do you make the second part of this story work?" If you're not familiar with the book, from chapter to chapter, the timeline switches back and forth between the main characters as children and as adults. It work...

From Starbuck's coffee cups being left on set, to our favorite characters massively disappointing us in the home stretch, it's all over and it's time to talk about it! Where to even start? To put it lightly, the fans aren't very happy with how the season and the series as a whole has ended. People in the show we've invested the better part of a decade in acted completely out of character, some of the most important ones even becoming villains at the end. Plot lines have either been abandoned or hastily brought to unsatisfying ends. And worst of all, it seems the only goal of the creators was to get this show finished as quickly as possible so they could move on to other projects. Since the release of both Captain Marvel and Us , you've most likely heard Brie Larson and Jordan Peele bring up white guys and what they feel are problems involving them in the Hollywood industry.  For Brie Larson, it was during an acceptance speech at the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film, where she talked about the critical reception for A Wrinkle in Time . She stated that it didn't get fair criticism due to the fact that it was reviewed by "a bunch of white dudes" and that the movie "wasn't made for them," due to the cast, the target audience, and subject matter. Jordan Peele brought up the subject during an interview for his new film Us . He stated "The way I see it, I get to cast black people in my movies. I feel very fortunate to be in this position...
